Enter the magical world of jewelry and gemstones with me.  When you learn how to work with the elements, you can do fascinating things.  There are techniques with unusual and exotic names such as reticulation, Keum-boo, and Mokume Gane.  The old Feudal Japan gave us the name of “Mokume Gane”, which translates into “wood grain Metal”.  This effect is created by layering various metals and fusing them at high heat.  You can then punch, twist, grind, and roll the result to develop the wonderful “wood grain” lines.  By applying various patinas you can create endless beautiful patterns and colors from which to craft jewelry or unique objects.
